WHY THE ROOF?
Reduced cooling costs are directly
related to reduced electrical consumption.
Most efforts, to date, have been directed at
reducing interior cooling costs (electric consumption) by every building
component except the roof.
ASHRAE Model

Roof: According to the ASHRAE
model, the roof, at 46%, has the greatest exposure to heat load of the
entire building, yet other than the eCOOLogy roof cooling system, few, if any,
are either cost effective or efficient.
Internal Gains: This is
directly attributable to the occupancy or usage of the building and items such as
computers and other electronics. At 34%, internal gains can only be
reduced by turning off so many lights and reducing work or business hours before
quality of life in the workplace and business profits suffer.
Doors, Floors, Windows and
Walls, at a combined total of 20%, have been optimally addressed through
existing construction upgrades and code requirements.
